Maybelline Master chrome and Fit me Concealers

Hi My Angels

Maybelline has recently been upping their game in South Africa with regards to bringing in the latest products. They have finally brought the Fit me Foundation along with a few other newer products and now they have brought in the concealers and highlighters.

Fit me Concealers

Now the Fit me Concealers I have used before, I originally got the fit me concealer from India. I picked up the shade medium 25 but it was way too light for me so I barely used it. But now that they have brought in 7 shades to South Africa and I picked up 3 shades which were 35,40 and 45. I use 35 for highlighting, 40 as a brightening everyday shade and 45 which is my the match for my skin and used as more of a corrector.

These are very watery concealers and when layered up they can at most give you a medium coverage however when paired with a higher coverage foundation then it adds to the coverage. It is a beautiful concealer depending on what you are looking for. The concealers retail for R99 and can be found at either Clicks or Dischem.

You can read more about these concealers here.

Master chrome Highlighters

There was much controversy when these first reached South Africa. These generally retail for $10 in the USA which roughly is R120 however when they were brought down to South Africa these retailed for a crazy R250 which is more than double the price so you can best believe  I was a little shook and not in a good way. However after watching Youtubers rave on about this highlighter, curiosity got the best of me and I didn’t just buy 1 but I bought 2 (insert the monkey covering his eyes emoji).

I picked up the shades molten gold and rose gold.  There is also a 3rd bronze shade that is available and is  suited for darker skin tones. The highlighters are very rich in pigment and are quite creamy. They are not glittery at all and give the skin a beautiful glow. These highlighters can be applied lightly for a subtle glow or intensified for a blinding glow, by either layering the colour or even wetting the skin or brush with a little Mac fix +.

Molten Gold is exactly as the name states, it packs a beautiful champagne gold finish that is surprisingly beautiful on almost all skin tones. However, being an Indian girl I have to be a little biased and say that this highlighter compliments our skin tone the best. It picks up on our yellow undertones and makes us look like glowing goddesses.

Rose Gold is more of a peachy pink gold shade. I do like this shade on my more natural makeup days. I think this shade looks very different on every skin tone. Both shades can be amplified to be more intense and do look incredible on the skin.

All in all Maybelline South Africa seems to be stepping up it’s game with its new releases and I am excited to see what is next.

Until then my loves
